🤣🤣🤣🤣 It is `1:40 pm, 7.14.22, and Navajo Council Budget & Finance Committee vice chair raymond smith jr has Popped Open a Most Wonderful Can of Truth! Resources & Development Committee chair rickie nez just announced that he’s a member of Navajo Transitional Energy Corporation; Navajo Indian Irrigation Project, and Navajo Hospitality Enterprise.
Delegate rickie nez emphazies, “We need a work session on Conflict of Interest. NECA has a former delegate and NIIP. It’s all done within the law.”
Chief Legislative Counsel Dana Bobroff says research showed that Delegate Otto Tso was appointed to the Navajo Hospitality Enterprise in 2015. There cud b other info but can’t find due to internet problems.
NHE has delegates on its management board/board of directors. Shareholder reps have different tasks than a delegate who is a member of board of directors. In this instance, Otto tso was appointed to board of directors by law. I feel like there is no conflict of interest by Otto Tso. He has no economic gain, special interest, and he’s not getting money from NHE. I don’t see any of that. however i am going to read the Navajo Nation Ethics in Government Act general prohibition of Conflict of Interest.
FYI – The Naabik’iyati is debating B. LEGISLATION 0258-21: An Action Relating to Resources and Development, Budget and Finance, and Naabik’íyáti’ Committees, and the Navajo Nation Council; Amending CAP-19-16 to Transfer the Responsibility and Permanent Trust Fund Interest Funding for the Shiprock Hotel Restaurant Project From the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise to the Navajo Nation Hospitality Enterprise; Allocating $11,400,000 from the Síhasin Fund to the Navajo Nation Hospitality Enterprise for the Shiprock Hotel-Restaurant Project and Approving the NNHE’S Shiprock Hotel Restaurant Project Expenditure Plan Pursuant to 12 N.N.C. §§2501-2508. SPONSOR: Honorable Eugenia Charles-Newton

It’s 12:15 pm, 7.14.22, and Resources & Development Committee chairperson RICKIE Nez says there are Church Groups that come from Oklahoma to conduct Vacation Bible School. They need a place to stay. I support this project for a hotel & restaurant in Shirprock,NM. He says there’s a Good Flea Market every Saturday in Shiprock. RICKIE Nez also says that if Shiprock is Built up that they could rival the Santa Fe Indian Market where really Famous People buy jewelry.
Rickie Nez says he used to sell his jewelry at Santa Fe Indian Market and that Navajo Division of Economic Development director JT Willie sells his jewelry ther too.

It’s 11:50 pm, 7.14.22, and Navajo Council Delegate Vince James is Calling Out the Council Delegates that are Nit-Picking legislation to bring Economic Development to Shiprock, NM, with a Hotel & Restaurant. And of course Budget & Finance Committee vice chairperson Raymond Smith Jr. is Leading the Pack. Meanwhile Delegate Raymond Smith’s chapter, Nahata Dziil, is in an UPROAR over THOUSANDS of DOLLARS in Public Funds that Went MISSING.
The Gallup Independent received an UNSIGNED Letter that was sent in an OFFICIAL Nahata Dziil Chapter Envelope making Serious Accusations against a Nahata Dziil Commissioner, who Reported the THOUSANDS of Dollars in Public Funds that have Gone MISSING!!!! SMH I don’t use UNSIGNED letters & I don’t use the words of Individuals who will NOT Give their NAMES after making Serious Accusations without DOCUMENTS. Whenever, I receive an UNSIGNED letter or I’m contacted by an individual who wants me to do a story on alleged Corruption But refuses to Give me a Name. And I use Anonymous Sources, ONL:Y when the Anonymous Source gives me his or her Name & Contact Info, which I Share with my Editor. I have had People get really Angry with me for not using their Words against OTHERS because they Refuse to Give me their Name.
James reminds the Council Delegates to LOOK at their Platforms because they will SEE that they are Promising the Dine’ Economic Development & Jobs.

It’s 11 am, 7.14.22, and the $7K BAILOUT for nez&lizer Navajo Division of Economic Development is before Naabik’iyati. And FYI, this BAILOUT has the Support of Resources & Development Committee Chairman RICKIE Nez & his RDC Committee which includes Council Delegate Mark Freeland, who is Riding on Horseback to the Navajo Council. ASK Freeland & RICKIE WHY they support a $7K BAILOUT for nez&lizer when the Navajo Council just APPROVED $1.7 BILLION in ARPA Relief Aid!!!!

LEGISLATION 0003-22: An Act Relating to Resources and Development, Budget and Finance, and Naabik’íyáti’ Committees, and Navajo Nation Council; Allocating $900,000 from the Unreserved, Undesignated Fund Balance (“UUFB”) to the Division of Economic Development/Tourism Department for Personnel and Operating Expenses for the Remainder of FY2022; Waiving 12 N.N.C. § 820(E), § 820(F), and § 820(J) to Allow Use of the UUFB for Recurring Expenses SPONSOR: Honorable Wilson C. Stewart, Jr.

It’s 11 am, 7.14.22, and the Lights have Gone on for Law & Order Committee chairwoman Eugenia Charles-Newton…She Started BUILDING Economic Development instead of tearing it down for the Shiprock Area by sponsoring Legislation 0258-21, which is asking the Navajo Council for $11.4 Million for the Shiprock Hotel & Restaurant.
I’m still waiting for Navajo Attorney General Doreen McPaul to take the Hemp Farmers to Navajo Court which is why the FBI, with SWAT weapons & the Navajo Police, Raided the Homes & Farms of our Dine’ Relatives who were Growing Hemp when Hemp was LEGAL on the Navajo Nation. But with Charles-Newton VERBALLY leading the Scorch & Burn FBI Charge on our Dine’ Elders, Families, Children, Teens, the Navajo Council CHANGED Our HEMP LAW to make it ILLEGAL so Charles-Newton & the Navajo Council could PUBLICLY VIOLATE the RIGHTS of our Dine’ Hemp Farmers.
Where is our Navajo Human Rights Commission? The last I heard, & saw, Navajo Human Rights Commission Chairwoman Jennifer Denetdale was Only posting negative comments about the Hemp Farmers. I asked her why she was taking a Position on the Hemp Farmers when she was chairwoman of the Navajo Human Rights Commission, which has as it’s Mission Statement:
“To protect and promote the human rights of Navajo Nation citizens by advocating human equality at the local, state, national and international levels based on the Diné principles of Sa’a Naaghai Bik’e Hozhoo, Hashkéejí, Hózhóójí and K’é.”
*** The Diné principles translate to being resilient, content, disciplined and maintaining peaceful relationships with all creation.
Vision Statement:
“The Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission shall serve as a forum to provide information and education, with the intention of empowering Navajo Nation citizens on human rights.”
Statement of Principal:
“The Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission commits to honor the Diné guiding principles of yínídílyinee and álílee k’ehgo and to be guided by the Diné principles of Sa’a Naaghai Bik’e Hozhoo, Hashkéejí, Hózhóójí and K’é.
*** The Diné grounding principles translate to being humble and to preserve and honor our beliefs. See less
