Navajo Council approves erosion and flood control for 5 chapters

Navajo Council now on LEGISLATION 0012-14 which is for erosion control along Little Colorado River and which impacts communities of Birdsprings, Leupp, Cameron, Coalmine Canyon and Tolani Lake. Sponsor is Delegate Walter Phelps.

Council getting tired. No debate on 0012-14. Council votes.

As Speaker Pro Temp Smith calling for Council to adjourn, Delegate Lorenzo Curley calls for Point of Order. His point of order concerns correct total for Legislation 0027-14.

Legislative Director Tom Platero assures Curley that budget amounts for Legislation 0027-14 will be correct and that he’ll have Curley review budget totals before legislation is sent over to President Shelly’s office.

Council adjourns at 5:43 p.m.
Don’t forget, Naabik’iyati Committee meeting tomorrow and on their agenda is LEGISLATION 0069-14: REMOVAL of Delegate Johnny Naize as Speaker.
