Lame Duck Navajo Council Resources & Development Committee at Twin Arrows to Talk Govt Reform, 9 am, 2.22.22

Greeting Relatives/Frens/Humans, the Navajo Nation Council Resources & Development Committee is having Two Days of Leadership Meetings to TALK, & TALK about Alternative Form of Governance & Western Local Governance Act Certified Chapters in the Plush Surroundings of the Navajo Nation Greetings RelaTwin Arrows Resort & Casino, while our Elders, Children, Families FACE what the National Weather Services is Calling a FRIGID WINTER STORM.

The RDC will be at Twin Arrows today, Feb. 22, and tomorrow, Feb. 23 BUT the only way to attend is In Person or by Phone. This morning, Navajo govt officials had to tell RDC chairman Rickie Nez that they couldn’t hear the meeting. I agree. I called in & listened to silence.

The RDC will be returning to Twin Arrows Resort & Casino Feb. 28, 9 am, for another In Person & Teleconference Call In meeting to TALK, TALK with the Navajo Nation Division of Natural Resources, Navajo Nation Department of Agriculture, Navajo Nation Land Department, Navajo Nation Department of Fish & Wildlife, District Grazing Committee, Navajo Hopi Land Commission, and Bureau of Indian Affairs to TALK, TALK about the LIMTED TEN SHEEP UNIT of the NAVAJO PARTITIONED LANDS (“NPL”) area.

And before today’s meeting, the RDC was at TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINTO to TALK, TALK with Navajo Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and Chief Executive Officer Maureen G. Curley
Saturday, Feb 19, 2022, at 9 a.m. to TALK, TALK about NHA goals and objective and preventing funds from being reverted to the federal government. In addition, to discuss Legislation #0015-22.

RDC was also at TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINO at the Start of February. RDC met Feb. 7 at TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINO to continue the TALK, TALK on the One Stop Shop with Navajo Nation Division of Natural Resources (“DNR”) and their departments and Navajo Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) for the One Stop Shop as it relates to the American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) Funds to assist the Navajo People in accordance to the October 14, 2021 ARPA update meeting and November 30, 2021 work session. Included in the work session is the Navajo Nation Division of Community Development, Navajo Nation Division of Economic Development, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Bureau of Land Management.

And on Feb. 4, the NAABIK’ÍYÁTI’ TÓ NIŁTÓLÍ TASK FORCE OF THE 24TH NAVAJO NATION COUNCIL held a REGULAR MEETING VIA TELECOMMUNICATION at Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort, Leupp, Navajo Nation (AZ), regarding the Canyon National Recreation Area. Members of the RDC are on the To’Nilto’li Task Force.

And as RDC was meeting at TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINO on Feb. 19, the Navajo Council Gaming Subcommttee was also meeting at TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINO.

RDC the To’nilto’li Task Force, Gaming Subcommittee MUST issue a WRITTEN REPORT on the COST of their MEETINGS at TWIN ARROWS for FEBRUARY because Resources & Development Committee, their staff, Nez&Lizer staff DID NOT USE THEIR PERSONAL FUNDS to pay for their lodging, meals, mileage, salary to TRAVEL to TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINO to TALK, TALK…

The RDC, the To’nilto’li Task Force, Gaming Subcommittee, Legislative Staff, Nez&Lizer Division Directors & staff USED Navajo Nation PUBLIC FUNDS, the Dine’ People’s Money, to pay TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINO. HOW MUCH DID WE, THE DINE’ SPEND on the RDC & Nez&Lizer directors to TALK, TALK at TWIN ARROWS RESORT & CASINO????!!!!

May Peace Prevail on Mother Earth!

It is now 10:59 am, 2.22.22, and the Navajo Council Resources & Development Committee is FINALLY Hearing from the Western Agency Local Governance Act Certified Chapters about how the Nez&Lizer Division of Community Development Director Pearl Yellowman & staff are Clueless about what is LGS. A western agency LGA chapter official informed the RDC that he’s been waiting FOUR Years for Sihasina Funds for chapter infrastructure. Another western agency chapter official became very emotional as he informed the RDC about how communty members are in dire need of Homes, Electricity, Water, Emergency Winter Assistance and Burail Assistance. As the chapter official talked briefly about the deaths of community members due to COVID, he became very emotional and his voice wavered…Other western agency chapter officials said “Window Rock” needs to UNDERSTAND what LOCAL GOVERNMENT means and then “Window Rock” will FINALLY bring LOCAL GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE to LOCAL GOVERNMENTS instead of Ignoring Them.
It is now 11:10 am, 2.22.22, and RDC chairman RICKIE NEZ stops the Western Agency Chapter Officials from TALKING because He feels that the Western Agency Chapter Officials need to be More Respectful as they COMMUNICATE their FRUSTRATION with “Window Rock.” (FYI – I was Wondering How Long Would Take for RICKIE NEZ to INTERRUPT the local government elected official & Complain about how the officials are TALKING. I have been Listening & the Local Govt Officials have been Respectful as they INFORM the RDC how FRUSTRATED they are with nez&lizer Community Development director Pearl Yellowman & staff.
RICKIE NEZ needs to get over his EGO that because he’s a Navajo Council Delegate that he has the RIGHT to DIRECT LOCAL GOVT OFFICIALS on hw to TALK to the Resources & Development Committee. ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS ARE EQUAL. ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS ARE PUBLIC SERVANTS OF WE, THE DINE’. I’m a Dine’ and I support the VOCIES of LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTED OFFICIALS telling Resources & Development Commtitee What is Happeing at the LOCAL LEVEL. Local Govt Officials have Projects that just need Funding and the Projects that they have are for the COMMUNTIY, such as Housing, Public Safety, Communty Cemetary, Active School Program, Senior Centers, Emergency Assistance.
