Navajo Council work session on RDC Subcommittee and URI, July 18, 2014.

NAVAJO COUNCIL NAABIK’IYATI COMMITTEE CONVENED AT 11:20 AM TODAY, JULY 10, 2014.

DELEGATE LORENZO CURLEY
July 22, Apache County Board of Supervisors meeting at Nahata Dziil Chapter to approve liquor license with George Ryan. I don’t know plan, concerning voice from Navajo Nation, but public has opportunity to speak. 10 a.m.

Concern about legislation endorsing Ann Kirkpatrick especially since Kirkpatrick is supporting proposed Grand Canyon Escalade Project. Perhaps the legislation’s sponsor, Delegate Jonathan Nez, should do more research.

DELEGATE LEONARD TSOSIE
not deny that i’ve been saying that some western educated navajos are not on same wavelength as us and that they are giving advice against best interest of Navajo Nation and question ASU advice and that we shud get more info from UNM graduates.

My chapters sponsoring presidential forum in Crownpoint July 21 and I’m asking colleagues to say some nice things about me. (LAUGHTER) invite allof you and perhaps do little dinner so as for RSVP. This forum will hopefully be at new building. Thank Navajo Boardcast Services, Navajo Times, KTNN. Know pple fatigues but this is important for pple to know issues.

I’m observer and ask that Tax Commission legislation for plan of operation be first on agenda, especially since first item on agenda is controversial.

CHAIRMAN PRO TEMP LORENZO BATES
