Navajo Generating Station and the Energy Future of the Colorado Plateau

An historic agreement has been reached that will substantially reduce pollution from the coal-fired Navajo Generating Station near Page and put significant resources toward a renewable energy future for the Southwest. Several of the agreement’s major negotiators will be on hand to tell the inside story in MNA’s first Future of the Colorado Plateau Forum.

This panel presentation and discussion is the first event in the Future of the Colorado Plateau Forum. The purpose of the Future of the Colorado Forum is to inform the public about the likely impacts that climate change will have on the Colorado Plateau and how these changes will affect both humans and ecosystems. Discussions will over the following topics: energy, forests, water, climate, wildlife, and sustainability.
