And so what’s happening today, April 11, 2014, in the Navajo Nation capitol, Window Rock, Ariz.
The Navajo Nation Council’s Budget and Finance Committee is meeting today in their conference room in Window Rock, Ariz., and among their AGENDA items is Legislation 0182-13, which is approval of the 2015 U.S. Department of Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Budget priorities for the Navajo Nation Division of Natural Resources, and Legislation 0037-14, which is the approval of the Office of Navajo Labor Relations Fund Management Plan.
The B&F Committee is also scheduled to approve an April 29 work session at Nahatadzil Chapter with Navajo Department of Transportation, which is sponsoring Legislation 0009-14 “Road Fund Management Plan amendments. The work session is expected to begin at 10 a.m.
The Council’s Law and Order Committee is meeting on Monday, April 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the north conference room of the Navajo Council chambers in Window Rock. The L&O Committee’s AGENDA includes Legislation 0081-14, which is the approval of amendments to the Navajo Nation Veterans Trust Fund.
The Resources and Development Committee is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, April 15, at 10 a.m. in the Navajo Council chambers in Window Rock. The RDC’s AGENDA includes several REPORTS and among them is a Homesite Lease Issue report by Vera Rintala. There are four pieces of legislation on the RDC agenda.
Legislative Services Director Tom Platero released the WEEKLY schedule of meetings for the Council and its committees for the week of April 13 to 19, 2014. There is no Council meeting scheduled.
The Council’s annual Spring Session is scheduled for the week of April 21, 2014.
