Navajo Election Supervisor Tso says people have right to choose leader

this board has been steadfast about sticking to election law. for past weeks, there were recommendations to extend general election on Nov. 4, 2014, and both were rejected by the board.

law says ten days and not say working day or calendar day. supreme court in my experience uses calendar days. if Deschene decides working days then Supreme Court could dismiss Deschene appeal.

put on record, election ongong. in middle of election. this is process for people to choose candidate of choice. this resolution keeps coming up on our agenda. election board recognizes all navajo laws – fundamental law, indian civil rights act, navajo election laws. those guide election board and people have right to choose leader of choice. and the office of the president belongs to voting public. the people have right to take part in political process.
