Seconded by Naabi Committee member Delegate Katherine Benally

NAABI COMMITTEE MEMBER DELEGATE MEL BEGAY
i oppose removal of Legislation 0220-14, ratifying restated federal charter for the Navajo Oil and Gas Company. and this eastern navajo agency resolution didn’t go to chapters and there are only 17 chapters that have taken a position on this. as NOG shareholder i plead with you to mpve this onto Council. These people are playing a game. the NOG Board president and others are in the media daily attacking the Council and raising allegations regarding NOG.

NAABI COMMITTEE MEMBER DELEGATE EDMUND YAZZIE
when this was first brot to Council there were a lot of questions and i had several and we didn’t get all the answers. Mr. Begay said that if Legislation 0220-14 is not acted on that it will create serious financial problems for NOG. Well if we take action on 0220-14 that cud also create serious financial problems.

NAABI COMMITTEE MEMBER DELEGATE LEONARD TSOSIE
IF u read Navajo Supreme Court decision, questions were raised about quorum of Shareholders and Board of Navajo Oil & Gas and so if we approve NOG charter then it would only send this matter of quorum back into court. I support the removal of 0220-14. and if i was from the Eastern Navajo Agency, I wud show respect for it. if they say there was a quorum present then it’s valid but to call agency council “rubber stamp” and that someone pulled wool over eyes and vote happened, is wrong. and this 0220-14 will take up a long time, like it did when it came before us before. We also need to see the forensic audit before council makes any decision. other thing is if we ratify this with all these questions then banks will also have question and it will hurt Navajo Oil and Gas. I don’t care what former CEO says and others. if we do questionable things regarding ratification, i can just banks calling in all the loans.
