HERE AT NAVAJO COUNCIL Health, Education and Human Services Committee where Committee is now on LEGISLATION 0112-14: nominating BLANK as the Graduate Student representative to the Commission on Navajo Nation Government Development.

3 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED TO APPOINT NICOLE JOHNNY AS THE GRADUATE STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE TO NAVAJO NATION GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION at 3:32 p.m.

COMMITTEE THEN VOTES 3 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED TO DELETE LEGISLATION 0109-14: AMENDING NAVAJO PREFERENCE IN EMPLOYMENT ACT AT TITLE 15 OF THE NAVAJO NATION CODE SECTIONS 605, 610, 612 AND ENACTING NEW SECTION 614, 612, 614, BECAUSE REPORT FROM LAW AND ORDER COMMITTEE NOT COMPLETED.

EARLIER THE COMMITTEE DELETED A COMPANION LEGISLATION, WHICH WAS LEGISLATION 0110-140110-14: AMENDING NAVAJO NATION PERSONNEL POLICIES MANUAL. THE COMMITTEE VOTE WAS 4 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED.

BOTH LEGISLATION 0109-14 AND 0110-14 WERE SPONSORED BY HEHS COMMITTEE MEMBER DELEGATE DWIGHT WITHERSPOON.

COMMITTEE VOTES 3 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED FOR WINSLOW INDIAN HEALTH CARE CENTER 2014 ANNUAL REPORT TO BE GIVEN TO THEM ON JUNE 11, 2014, AT 10 A.M. AT THE TWIN ARROWS CASINO/CONFERENCE CENTER.
