Navajo Water Rights Commission meeting 8 a.m. May 12

Here at Navajo Council’s Resources & Development Committee where they are having a work session with Navajo Department of Justice Water Rights Unit and Navajo Water Department. The Navajo Water Rights Commission is also a part of the work session.

Only if client-attorney situation occurs. NRW is meeting tomorrow, May 12, starting at 8 a.m. at the Navajo Department of justice Butler Building.

There’s suggestion for additional work session on water rights, water projects. I’d like to use entire Trust Settlement of $409 million to fund water projects. I hope that grassroots pple are part of Navajo Water Commission’s discussions. They have always had great ideas. We are here to create something good for the people. And so at tome point, I’d like to hear from the grassroots pple/constituents. I’d like to hear from eastern, western, central, southern, northern parts of reservation so they will be part of RDC agenda at some point.
this is work session. there is recommendation for two day work session.
and every year, we had updates on litigations.
Tommorow everyone is invited to attend Water Rights Commission meeting.
