Just received info from Navajo Nation Office of the President & Vice President: “The press conference will begin today at 12:00 p.m. by call-in only. We will not be live-streaming the press conference because we are trying to limit person-to-person contact as precautionary measure for our staff. Please remain on mute until we open the call up for questions from reporters.

We will follow this order:
Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez
Navajo Nation Vice President Myron Lizer
Navajo Department of Health Executive Director Dr. Jill Jim
Navajo Area Indian Health Service
Roselyn Tso, Director – Navajo Area IHS
Dr. Loretta Christensen, Chief Medical Officer – Navajo Area IHS
Navajo Nation Health Command Operations Center, Incident Commander David Nez

The Office of the President and Vice President will hold a press conference on Monday, March 23, 2020 beginning at 12:00 p.m. (DST) for news reporters to receive updates and ask questions. As a safety measure, the press conference will be conducted via tele-conference – please see the attached Media Advisory and agenda. Call-in information will be provided 15 minutes prior to the start of the press conference. Please do not distribute the call-in information.

The press conference will also be live-streamed for the general public to view and listen, however, questions will only be taken from news reporters.
