Several supporters of Navajo Nation presidential candidate Chris Deschene arrived at the Office of Hearings and Appeals buildings but Navajo police were situated outside the building and so they were prevented from getting too close to he building. They chanted supporting words for Chris and shouted that the more than 9,000 voters that voted for Deschene was a test that he was a qualified presidential candidate. When Deschene emerged from the building, he was met by louder cheers. the hearing had not started and so he went to his supporters and shook hands and hugged some of them. one of his supporters asked him to text them and he laughed and shook his head no.
