Greetings Relatives/Frens/Humans,
Today, Sept. 2, 2014, is the deadline for the two political candidates for Navajo Nation president to file the names of their running mates with the Navajo Nation Election Office in Window Rock, Ariz.

Presidential candidate Chris Deschene announced that he is having a PRESS CONFERENCE at 2 p.m. at the Navajoland Inn in St. Michaels, Ariz., to name his running mate.

Presidential candidate Joe Shirley Jr. announced that he is having a gathering at 4 p.m. at his campaign headquarters in Window Rock, Ariz., to name his running mate.

Shirley came in first among the 17 political candidates for tribal president during the tribal primary election on Aug. 26, 2014. Deschene was second.
