Navajo Council temporarily tables $5 million for 110 chapters

NAVAJO NATION COUNCIL IN SPECIAL SESSION TO FINISH UP THEIR MAY 30, 2014, AGENDA. THE COUNCIL DIDN’T FINISH THEIR MAY 30, 2014, BECAUSE THEY LOST A QUORUM. THERE ARE THREE PIECES OF LEGISLATION ON TODAY’S AGENDA.

COUNCIL TAKES UP LEGISLATION 0102-14: $5 MILLION FOR 110 CHAPTERS, WHICH IS LEGISLATION THAT COUNCIL WAS DEBATING WHEN COUNCIL LOST QUORUM ON MAY 30, 2014.

We all support funding for 110 chapters. And i support budget forms for all appropriations. i understand need is great so perhaps tabled temporarily and go to Delegate Elmer Begay’s legislation 0101-14, which deals with Navajo Nation Sex Offender Registration Act. i’m going to just TABLE until all forms are in place for LEGISLATION 0102-14.
