IN NAVAJO COUNCIL CHAMBER AT COUNCIL’S RESOURCES & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. RDC STARTED LISTENING TO 2013 FINANCIAL AUDIT REPORT FROM NAVAJO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS INDUSTRY/NAPI WITHOUT QUORUM. RDC GOT QUORUM.

RDC CHAIRPERSON KATHERINE BENALLY
We have quorum at 11:30 am
RDC adopts agenda after moving agenda items B and C to next meeting because Chairperson Benally and RDC member Leonard Tsosie have meeting with Congressional representatives concering Navajo Housing Authority. (I’ll be posting my recent news stories about NHA financial problems. So keep checking my website.)
And committee please approve, report on Letter from Housing & Urban Development. We are moving with Congressional people in an hour.
(It’s now 11:30 am)

NAPI BOARD VICE CHAIRPERSON ALFONSO NEPHEW
I probably do get carried away with making a return and I do look to NAPI BOARD CHAIRMAN BEGAY to provide Navajo philosphy. We are behind in our projects regarding flour mill and connected to management decision on staff. But moving quickly to catch up with that.

FBI question: WE don’t know a whole lot. They haven’t responded to us. And if need more info, we can go into executive session.

RDC VOTES ON ACCEPTING REPORT BY NAPI ON 2013 FINANCIAL AUDIT AT 11:45 AM.
VOTE 4 IN FAVOR, 0 OPPOSED

RDC VOTES TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS LETTER FROM U.S. HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT REGARDING FINANCIAL ISSUES/QUESTIONS ABOUT NAVAJO HOUSING AUTHORITY’S FEDERAL FUNDING AND LACK OF CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSES AND FEDERAL FUNDING BALANCE OF MORE THAN $37 MILLION THAT NHA HAS NOT SPENT FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
