Naabik’iyati Committee supports New Mexico appropriation for behavioral health services in border towns & Albuquerque for Navajo people

Navajo Council’s Naabik’iyati Committee, which is the Council’s top committee, is now on Legislation 0006-15 An Action Relating To NAABIK’ IYATI’ Committee; Respectfully Requesting The State Of New Mexico To Consider Amendments And An Appropriation In New Mexico House Bill 108, Introduced By Patricia A. Lunstrom.

SPONSOR, DELEGATE JONATHAN HALE, explains that his Legislation 0006-15 is for the State of NM to appropriate funds for epidemeological data collection, for behavioral health services because there are Navajo people that live in border towns and Albuquerque that need services and to have a Navajo Nation representative on the Inter-agency Behavioral Health Purchasing Collaborative, which will create a state wide master plan on the delivery of behavioral health services.
