Here at Navajo Labor Commission hearing where it is Day 2 of the hearing involving a Labor Complaint filed against Navajo Nation Controller Mark Grant by five former Office of the Controller employees, who were Senior Accountants. The five individuals are Marietta Roan, Lucinda Davis, Levon Smiley, Valentina Sallis and Cynthia Deschinny. They are being represented by private attorney David Jordan of Gallup, NM. The Navajo Department of Justice is representing Controller Grant. The NDOJ attorney is Henry Howe.

It is now 9:36 am and the attorneys and their clients continue to meet outside the Labor Commission hearing room, which is located in Window Rock, Ariz., and in the same building as the Office of Navajo Labor Relations.

Attorney Jordan just entered the hearing room and asked the Commission for additional time. The Commission agreed but noted to Jordan that the discussions were being courted towards their hearing time. Jordan replied, “But if we settle, it’s worth it.”
