If you wish to Listen to today’s Navajo Council Law & Order Committee meeting, here is the TELECONFERENCE CALL NUMBER: (425) 436-6316, ACCESS CODE: 510953. Please MUTE your phone. Ahe’hee!

According to the proposed agenda of the Law & Order Committee, the housing needs of the Navajo Nation Judicial Branch, Division of Public Safety, and Department of Justice will be presented to the Law & Order Committee.

Navajo Housing Authority will also update the Law & Order on housing for first responders and public safety.

Navajo Gaming or the Navajo Nation government gambling business will Update the Law & Order on the status of the government gambling business, which issued a press release that it would reopen casinos July 27. And once again, the Navajo Nation government-owned gambling business will make their report behind Closed Doors, which has been happening for Years. I kid you not.

The Navajo gambling enterprise issued a June 16 press release, “Best-in-Class Precautionary Practices for the “New Customer Experience. New Normal” for Navajo Gaming Exceeds State, Federal and Industry Standards,” which was based on a survey.

I repeatedly asked for a copy of the Survey and kept being told that the PIO or Public Information Officer, Michele Crank, could answer all questions regarding the “internal survey,” which from the press release appears to be a survey of casino customers. It would seem that the Navajo Nation gambling enterprise would also survey Navajo non-customers since Navajo people basically own the casinos, which were built with the Navajo people’s money, especially Navajo veterans, who had money taken from their trust fund for the tribal gambling business without their knowledge when then Navajo Nation Council Speaker Lorenzo Bates was in office.

Back to the survey – I informed Crank that I need to read the Internal Survey first before I could ask questions. I NEVER received a copy of the Internal Survey.

May Peace Prevail on Mother Earth!
