HERE AT NAVAJO COUNCIL HEALTH, EDUCATION AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE IN THE NAVAJO COUNCIL CHAMBER IN WINDOW ROCK, ARIZ. THE COMMITTEE IS HEARING A REPORT FROM THE NAVAJO NATION TELECOMMUNICATIONS REGULATORY COMMISSION ON THE NAVAJO EMERGENCY 911 SYSTEM. TELECOMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR BRIAN TAGABN IS MAKING THE REPORT.

THE NEXT REPORT WILL BE FROM THE DINE’ EDUCATION AND THEN THERE WILL BE A REPORT FROM THE PUBLIC ABOUT “IMMINENT THREATS FROM URANIUM MINING.” THERE ARE SEVERAL GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS HERE THAT WILL BE PRESENTING THEIR CONCERNS TO THE HEHS COMMISSION ABOUT URANIUM MINING. AMONG THE INDIVIDUALS HERE ARE NAVAJO COUNCIL DELEGATE DANNY SIMPSON AND BECENTI CHAPTER VICE PRESIDENT JONATHAN PERRY.
