Amendments to Radiation Exposure Compensation Act tabled

Naabik’iyati Committee now on LEGISLATION 0114-14, ENDORSING HOUSE RULE 1645, WHICH AMENDS RADIATION EXPOSURE COMPENSATION ACT TO IMPROVE COMPENSATION FOR WORKERS INVOLVED IN URANIUM MINING AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

People are frustrated. they want to know when these amendments will be introduced into Congress.

we have worked with laws from 1991 but we have lot miners and millers, such as Post-1971, that don’t qualify and many of them are dying. so we appreciate your vote.

I do support this legislation and asking for $450,000. And since we have all these tribal attorneys, i’m asking to Table until the attorneys help Delegate Hale in where to insert additional proposed amendments. But i want this legislation to return to Committee today.
